By accessing or using SemWerk services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using our services.

2. Description of Services

SemWerk provides semantic infrastructure for software development, including SemanticPress, SemanticContext, and SemanticCode. Our services enable organizations to build connected knowledge ecosystems for code, documentation, and business assets.

3. Account Registration

To access certain features, you may be required to register for an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

4. Licensing

Open Source Components (BSL)

Sem-Lite packages (sempress-lite, semcode-lite) are licensed under the Business Source License (BSL). You may use these components in accordance with the BSL terms, which permit non-production use and convert to open source after a specified period.

Commercial Products

SemanticContext and full versions of SemanticPress and SemanticCode are commercial products requiring a paid license. Enterprise features and support are available under separate commercial agreements.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Infringe on intellectual property rights
• Transmit malicious code or interfere with services
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems
• Use services to compete directly with SemWerk

6. Intellectual Property

SemWerk and its licensors retain all rights, title, and interest in the services, including all intellectual property rights. Your use of the services does not grant you ownership of any intellectual property.

7. Data and Privacy

Your use of our services is also governed by our Privacy Policy. You retain ownership of your data and grant SemWerk a license to use it solely to provide the services.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

Services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. SemWerk does not warrant that services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SemWerk shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SemWerk and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the services or violation of these terms.

11. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to services immediately, without prior notice, for any breach of these terms. Upon termination, your right to use the services will immediately cease.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will provide notice of significant changes. Your continued use of services after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

13. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.
